Manages daily operations of very busy educational non-profit organization with the goal of advancing PreK-12 economic and personal finance literacy to educators, legislators, community leaders and donors.
General Qualifications and Skills:
- Successful marketing and fundraising experience with a proven track record
- Strong advocate for the free enterprise system with a knowledge of economics and personal finance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
- Excellent team leadership and management skills to nurture a productive staff
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to call on out-of-town constituents; occasional travel will involve weekends and overnights
- Strategic self-starter with high initiative
- Excellent human relation skills capable of relating to various audiences
- Excellent leadership, time management and decision-making skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Successful administrative experience with proficiency with use of technology including social media
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a positive teamwork atmosphere by managing and coaching a staff of 5, a large board of directors, numerous teachers and diverse donors
- Develops and implements strategies to ensure state-wide fundraising activities; engages in donor recruitment, relations and retention activities
- Works with Economics Arkansas Foundation Board and Professional Advisory Committee to secure contributions and major planned gifts to build endowment
- Oversees Economics Arkansas’ operations and program outreach
- Makes presentations throughout the state to build human and financial support (both with current key partners and with potential partners) and to raise awareness of the mission/vision of Economics Arkansas
- Develops and maintains effective communications and close working relationships with board members, donors and legislators
- Monitors and helps facilitate success toward achieving the objectives within the strategic plan
- Reports to Economics Arkansas’ Executive Committee of the Board of Directors
- Fulfills these and other duties which support efforts to achieve Economics Arkansas’ goals
