STEM-onomics Symposium-Springdale (IN-PERSON)
STEM-onomics will blend the interests of STEM and economics in fun, engaging ways in the elementary classroom. The professional development offering will introduce ways to merge literacy, STEM, and economics as participants experience activities and then connect how to apply them to their grade-level standards. Lisa Taylor, Arkansas educators and recently awarded Presidential Award for Science Teaching for Arkansas, will spotlight literature like The Marvelous Thing that Came from a Spring: The Accidental Invention of the Toy that Swept the Nation by Gilbert Ford in this day-long training.
Upon successful completion, educators will receive:
