Kidsize Economics

Bonnie Meszaros

Center for Economic Education & Entrepreneurship

Should we be teaching economics in the elementary grades? Yes! Teaching economics at an early age helps children make sense of the world around them. Plus, it is part of the Arkansas Social Studies Standards. This session will share engaging lessons on teaching children about investing in their human capital, spending, saving, and borrowing using videos, children's books, and active learning strategies. Participants will receive copies of lessons and slides.

Target Audience: K-2, 3-5
