Financial Literacy Project: Create a Savings Bank
Deadline for Entries: April 19, 2021
In honor of April's Financial Literacy Month, we are hosting a design-and-create contest for families and Prek-12 classrooms!
YOU are invited to design and create an actual savings bank and submit a photo of the design. Designs will be entered into a Facebook contest with the winner determined by public votes.
The winning designs will earn some “dough” in the shape of a gift certificate to their favorite pizza restaurant.
Contest details:
Families
- Design and create an actual family savings bank. It can be a traditional "piggy" bank, but we challenge you to think outside the box! We've seen a llama, giraffe, Easter egg, and a taco!
- Snap a photo of your design.
- Email your photo (JPG or PNG format) to acee@economicsarkansas.org. Be sure to include the following information:
- Family Last Name
- Name of savings bank (if you have one)
- Grade(s) of student(s)
- School(s) Where Students Attend
Classrooms

One entry per family or classroom.
The deadline to submit entries is Friday, April 19, 2021.
All entries will be uploaded to a Facebook photo album.
Voting will occur April 26-29 and the winner will be announced on April 30.
The savings bank container that receives the most "likes" in each category will be the winner.
This competition is open to Arkansas residents only.
